I once  met a man in new york state; a man of 80, who had never been to ireland himself, yet remembered enough Irish from his mother who left Kerry in the 1880s, to speak some irish phrases with perfect understanding and good pronounciation.  Do you have any stories of your ancestors?  What tradgedies, triumphs and struggles did they have to overcome?  Did they ever speak of their homeland? Did they bring with them the  stories of  their native baronies and townlands; tales of Banshee's, Ghosts and the little people?
Let us know; such tales and memories should not  be forgotten. Let us document them.

Under re-construction

This site is under reconstruction. If some, or indeed all, the links do not work please bear with us.This site needs a rethink and it needs new creative input. Have you any ideas?  If you do think you have   something to contribute or have views on  how this site should develop please get in contact.  Regard these pages  as yours; blank, virginal and ready  to be moulded to your - our - shared vision.  Although the vision doesn't have to   be shared in the details; the desire to promote the welfare and celebrate the history - public and hidden - of the great Irish Diaspora in all its glory, in all its tradgedy and in its triumphs and in its failures, should be the force that binds us in our endeavour.
